Dutchy's Underwater Open 2024
The Dutchy’s Underwater Open is a chance for our multi talented fishing members (and friends) to show off their skills under the water for once by way of freediving, scuba and spearfishing.
Registration and tournament briefing will take place from 5:00pm on Friday 19th April at the clubrooms.
Will Fransen: A Tale of Survival
TPSFC presents A Tale of Survival, a fundraiser luncheon featuring club member Will Fransen discussing his 24 hour ordeal after falling overboard from the Betty G while fishing solo.

Tickets are $80pp and include lunch. All profits from the ticket sales will be donated to two local charities selected by Will.
These are the Tairua Pauanui Care & Cancer Support Group and the Tairua Pauanui Coastguard.
Doors open at 12:00pm, lunch will be served at 1:00pm.

Storm’s Tuna Game & Light Tackle Tournament coincides with the 2024 NZSFC Nationals. Your entry fee for this competition also includes entry into the Nationals.
Coromandel Hobbies Kids Day on the Wharf
The Coromandel Hobbies Kids Day on the Wharf is a fun day for all the family! $2 entry fee per child, fishing from the Tairua Wharf, Paku Jetty and Pauanui Wharf.
Tairua Spring Fling Open Day
Come along and check out the club on Saturday 18 November as part of the Tairua Spring Fling.
The clubrooms will be open to non-members for the day, the perfect chance to try our new menu, enjoy our expansive harbour views and find out about becoming a member.
The club courtesy van will be running between the rugby fields and the club for a gold coin donation or there is plenty of parking available onsite.
Grand Slam 2023
The Grand Slam tournament takes place from Saturday November 10th through to Saturday December 16th 2023. Anglers compete to catch all seven species: Snapper, Kahawai, Gurnard, John Dory, Tarakihi, Blue Cod and Trevally.
Labour Weekend Snapper Hunt (Interclub)
The Labour Weekend Snapper Hunt is an Interclub Tournament and sees Tairua, Whangamata, Whitianga and Matarangi Clubs fight it out for the biggest snapper caught on the Saturday.
Cash prizes are awarded on Sunday for 1st - 4th heaviest snapper and average weight snapper for TPSFC entrants.

Are you new to squid fishing or simply want to improve your catch rate? Squid catching guru Jeremy Troup from Black Magic Tackle will talk you through the gear required, techniques to be used and seasonal variances, as well as dispelling some myths along the way.
